What is CBD?

CBD is an abbreviation for cannabidiol which is a chemical compound  found naturally in the cannabis plant. It contains untraceable amounts  of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the principal psychoactive element in  marijuana which means you will NOT get you “high” when using CBD.  Is CBD Legal?

Yes.First, the Agricultural Act of 2014  opened up new doors for the hemp industry by legalizing some  cultivation activities that have since allowed the industry to grow in  unprecedented ways. 

Second, the 2016 Federal Omnibus Bill allowed interstate hemp sales from being prohibited. 

Lastly, the 2018 Farm Bill was signed into law in December 2018, effectively  legalizing hemp at the federal level by removing it from the federal  list of controlled substances and classifying it as an agricultural  commodity.

As of 2019, there are only three states with restrictions on all  cannabis and cannabis-derived (hemp) products. These are Idaho, Nebraska, and  South Dakota. It is crucial  and your responsibility to  know how hemp-derived CBD extracts are treated in your state. 

How can I access my account?

After you have chosen one of our four subscription box options, you’ll be  required to create a Hemp Crate account at checkout. Any time you want to  check on your order, you can head over to the top right corner of our  home page and click on ‘Log In’. Once there, a menu will prompt you to  provide the email address and password you used when purchasing your  subscription.  

Where do you ship?

United States - We ship to the all 50 U.S. states. We can ship to physical addresses and PO boxes. 

As of April 28th, 2020, we no longer offer international shipping due to CBD regulations and inconsistent enforcement by Customs in country.

When will my store order ship?

Within 24-48 business hours. 

When will my subscription order ship?

Your first subscription box will ship within 48 hours. Your following boxes renew mid-month and ship at the end of the same month.

How much does shipping cost?

We offer flat rate $4.95 standard shipping for monthly subscription boxes and online store orders. If you order over $75 of product shipping is free!

What carriers do you use to ship?

We ship your items in discreet packaging utilizing USPS First Class and Priority Mail services. Tracking numbers provided with each shipment. 

How long will it take to receive my order?

Typically only 1-3 days after the day we ship your order.

Will my order ship discreetly?

Absolutely. We take your privacy seriously. We will ship your hemp crate in an outer padded mailer or plain box. The shipping label will say from HCCO and no other identifying external marks. The fun is on the inside! 

Can I skip a month or cancel?

Most definitely. We suggest just skipping a month if you need a break. You can skip, change your box style or size, or cancel all by logging into My Account

What is your return/refund policy?

We do accept return orders on items purchased in our online store if unused and  undamaged within 30 days of delivery date. A full product refund will be issued.

Due to the nature of the product, subscription box orders cannot be returned. Please note cancellations are for future boxes only, and NOT for the boxes already paid for (1, 3,  or 6 months depending on your subscription plan). 

Customers can use the carrier of their choice at their cost to return online store items.

What if I received an item that is damaged or I am missing an item?

We take great pride in packing and securing your items. However, if you find anything damaged or if you are missing an item just drop us a line at and we will take care of you. Always! 

How long does it take to get my refund?

Once we receive your order back it can take 3 days to process and refund. Then, another 2-7 days to post back from your issuing bank. We will keep you updated with a return status email once we have processed your return.
